Every day, we meet men and women who have answered a call greater than themselves. They’ve served our country, supported their fellow service members, and carried responsibilities that most of us will never fully understand. But when life becomes overwhelming, asking for help can be one of the toughest things they’ll ever do.
That’s why the Patriot Support Program at Cedar Springs Hospital exists.
The Patriot Support Program was built specifically for active-duty service members, veterans, and military family members facing challenges such as trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use, and the lasting effects of military service. What set the program apart is its military-focused approach, recognizing that they challenges and transitions of military life require specialized care and understanding.
Cedar Springs Hospital’s team understands that healing looks different for everyone. That’s why the program brings together psychiatric care, individual and group therapy, family support, case management, and specialized trauma-focused interventions to meet people where they are and help them move forward.
More than a military program, Patriot Support is built on a deep understanding of military culture and the people who serve. Veterans are part of their team, helping create an environment where service members, veterans, and their families feel understood from day one.
Every day, their team has the privilege of walking alongside individuals during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. We see people reconnect with hope, strengthen relationships, develop healthier ways to cope, and begin to believe in themselves again.
Through the Patriot Support Program, Cedar Springs Hospital has the opportunity to give something back: compassionate care, genuine understanding, and a place where healing can begin.
Because honoring service isn’t just about recognizing what someone has done.
It’s about being there when support is needed most.
