The 9th Annual Honoring the Brave Golf Scramble presented by Parsons for the Home Front Military Network was a tremendous success. Held on June 24th at Ft. Carson’s beautiful 18-hole championship Cheyenne Shadows Golf Course, the event was a fun day for all and a wonderful opportunity to raise money for a very worthy cause.
The event raised more than $23,000 for HFMN’s very important mission to support military service members, veterans, and their families by providing emergency financial assistance and connecting them to our trusted partner agencies for legal assistance, employment, housing, mental health services, and more.
We wish to express our profound gratitude to everyone who came out to hit some balls and enjoy the day. We could not have done it without all of our sponsors, golfers, donors, and volunteers, especially Phil Winslow, the tournament director from Parsons. We also want to thank Teresa Wilson, HFMN Golf Sub-Committee Chair, Sallie Clark, the HFMN Event Committee Chair, and Brent Sabati, the HFMN Event Committee Vice Chair. They generously shared their time by not only organizing the tournament, but helping on the day of the event, as well!

HFMN also thanks Chick-fil-A for catering a hearty breakfast, Carrabas for providing a delicious lunch, and Kona Ice and Keg 1 for serving refreshing shaved ice and beer throughout the day.
Last year, we fielded more than 11,800 total calls, assisting more than 4,000 unique callers and more than 5,600 service members, veterans, and their families.
We are very pleased that 86% of those clients said they had lower stress and anxiety levels within 30 days of assistance and 94% expressed improved opinions about community support. Fundraisers like the Honoring the Brave Golf Scramble are crucial because they enable us to expand our services further, reaching more individuals in a wide portion of the state geographically.
