At Home Front Military Network, our commitment to honoring and supporting military service members is unwavering. As May rolls around, it’s a time of even greater significance for us all. In 1999, May was officially recognized as Military Appreciation Month, a time dedicated to honoring the past and present heroes of our armed forces. This special month is an opportunity to pay homage to selfless individuals who willingly put their lives on the line to safeguard our way of life. From the soldiers deployed overseas to the veterans who have returned home, each embodies the epitome of dedication and courage.
During this month, there are many observances that directly honor our service members and their families. These observances include:
Military Spouse Appreciation Day – May 10th
A heartfelt acknowledgment of the unwavering love and support provided by military spouses to their partners, past and present, through every deployment and challenge.
Armed Forces Day – May 18th
This day is to celebrate all who have served all branches of the United States military.
Memorial Day – May 27th
As the month draws to a close, we observe Memorial Day on May 27th. This important holiday serves as a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made by the brave men and women who laid down their lives in defense of our freedoms.
Together, let’s honor their memory and ensure their legacy of bravery and service lives on. Whether you wish to donate, volunteer, or attend a Home Front Military Network fundraising event, you can help support military and veteran families in Colorado. Home Front Military Network’s mission is to connect military service members, veterans, and their families to resources offered by our trusted community partners and to provide emergency financial assistance.
